Nana Boateng

Nana Boateng (she/her) a Ghanaian-American poet and research based artist. Her creative practice draws on the Akan proverb, "Fa wuntama bε bɔ mi diε anu" which states, “Language fails us when we fail each other.” Nana work activates glitches and untranslatable boundaries of dialogue across open sourced archives to create deep, site-specific vessels for grief and rage.

Nana is creating soundscape experiences to pair with Evan Verrilli’s installation projects: 



The Forest

A triangular array of color-changing vertical light poles. Each cardinal direction changes color at different rates, grounding the participant in the present moment & slowly changing their perception of the space around them.



The Chapel
